Busy indicator reference

I have used some of the code from the GameLibrary sample that was ported to Caliburn.Micro. The busy indicator service works fine when a button click or some other interaction calls the service. But I am having a hard time figuring out how to use the busy indicator service when I need to load something immediately in the constructor of my viewmodel. The default behavior of the class is to walk up the visual tree until it finds a control called "busyIndicator". The problem is that it can't walk up the visual tree because there is no parent for the view when it tries to get the parent of the current view. I tried the Activate and ViewAttached event with no luck. Anyone have any tips? Thanks.

Two options:

1 Try OnViewLoaded

2 Create a different implementation of the busy indicator which does not walk the tree, but uses some other technique.

Thanks Rob, overriding OnViewLoaded and putting my method call in there did the trick.
