I've been banging my head against a wall for two days now, and i'm sure I've missed something with this, i can get my dialog to show using windowsManager.showdialog(new dialogviewmodel()) but for the life of me i cannot get tryclose to actually do anything.

Using the logger i can see that the try close reports the following:
TryClose requires a parent IConductor or a view with a Close method or IsOpen property.

I'm really not sure how to go about this, All i'm wanting is the ability to close the dialogbox (which is a usercontrol btw)

Any help will be appreciated.

Where you calling the TryClose() from?

Forgive me i had forgotten about this post, i turns out i had a leftover view.bind.model from when i was doing view first, and it ended up creating a second viewmodel therefore breaking the binding so tryclose failed.

Issue is sorted now
