Just recently VS2010 started crashing when opening XAML files for any project. This is happening on 2 machines for VS2010.
It's somehow related to CM because when I remove the CM namespace reference from the XAML file it works fine.
I attached another instance of VS2010 to the process and saw this error being thrown:
'devenv.exe' (Managed (v4.0.30319)): Loaded 'C:\Users\K\AppData\Local\assembly\dl3\Q2T9Q8OE.H9J\EEX0LQDG.Y4H\5df7bd66\00e00bda_15c3c801\log4net.DLL'
log4net:ERROR XmlConfigurator: Failed to find configuration section 'log4net' in the application's .config file. Check your .config file for the <log4net> and <configSections> elements. The configuration section should look like: <section name="log4net"
A first chance exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException' occurred in CMFramework.Applications.Demo.exe
The program ' devenv.exe: Managed (v4.0.30319)' has exited with code -1 (0xffffffff).
It seems that VS2010 is for some reason trying to start one of the applications and the error is being thrown by log4net. I've tried deleting the user settings files and resetting VS2010's settings to no avail.
Why would VS2010 be trying to run or start one of the application projects in my solution when opening a XAML file in a different project, and how can it be related to CM?
