What does this error mean? It's occurring in the Startup of my App.xaml.cs and I don't even know what to look for. Any direction would be appreciated.

Might need some more information related to what you are trying to develop on phone, Silverlight, wpf, WinRT? From what you posted no one will help cause they haven't the faintest idea where to start with that little blurb followed by a bump...

That error may come up in DataTemplate and such, and it is caused by the NameScope not being able to locate a component (at least, in my WPF application that came out this way).
If possible, a repro project could help locate the issue.

Running a WPF app with Caliburn and Telerik Controls.
Through process of elimination, I found it is crashing trying to bind some RadRibbonButtons. With a little renaming, it seems to be working fine.

I got the same error when I had a typo in my message attach
cal:Message.Attach="[Event Click] = [SelectBlah($souce,$datacontext)]"
For those that couldn't see it like I didn't, $source is spelt wrong.
